David Gets A Reward

Yesterday, we were privileged to join in celebrating the success of the young and brilliant mind, David Okorogheye. Earlier this year, David wrote the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations. He passed in flying colours, scoring distinctions in all nine subjects. The West African Examinations Council revealed that David had gotten the best result in the country.

He is 15 years old, and according to his friends, just another regular teenager who loves to play and have fun. He came in yesterday to meet the Board of Trustees, along with his mother and sister, to receive the Gamaliel Onosode Award for Academic Excellence. The award is in recognition of his stellar performance in the examination.


His school at the time, Starfield College, Iju, benefited from his performance as they received the school category of the award. The school is a leading name in helping learners reach their academic potential.


The Foundation, since 2015, has conferred the Gamaliel Onosode Award for Academic Excellence on the best Nigerian student in the WASSCE, and an accompanying award on the recipient's school. The award includes a monetary gift to the student, and an equipment donation to the school.
